Hey, I’m Tana!

(Yes, pronounced like Montana. No, not short for it.)

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, I still call the Sonoran Desert home. As a proud graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, my journey began with dreams of sports broadcasting—until a serendipitous elective photography course changed everything.

Nearly a decade later, I've built my own photography and freelance business while forging a career in professional sports. From interning with the Arizona Coyotes to shaping the digital presence of the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury, I've witnessed incredible moments—from NBA draft lotteries to the exhilaration of Western Conference championships.

In 2020, a health diagnosis prompted me to prioritize self-care and embrace a new chapter. Today, I lead digital marketing for a national construction firm while maintaining my freelance business as a creative sanctuary where I tell stories through my lens. This is where I capture pure, unfiltered moments—whether it's the atmosphere of live sports or the subtle beauty of everyday life.

My inbox is always open. Whether you have questions, ideas, business proposals, or are seeking mentorship, I welcome the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and create beautiful things together.

FAQs

  • Absolutely! I'm here to make your experience as seamless as possible. I can offer plenty of recommendations and advice to ensure everything goes smoothly, with the goal of making your experience with me as close to perfect as possible. While I can provide input and guidance, I always recommend having a wedding planner or coordinator to help manage the stress of the wedding day. Please note, I am unable to fulfill both roles.

  • Yes, I do! I'd be happy to incorporate it into your photo experience. I shoot with a Canon Elan, and I can price either per film photo or per roll. Just include the details in your inquiry email, and I'll be sure to add it to your proposal.

  • I'll include this in your package as a flat fee, so you won't have to worry about any surprise costs. Additionally, I'll handle all of my travel arrangements, so you don’t have to stress about that either.

  • To secure your date, I require a 25% down payment at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be due one month before the wedding or one week before the event.

  • I don’t believe in limiting the number of photos I return to clients. I am very generous with my return gallery and you will receive enough photos to remember the moment perfectly. This usually ends up being 65-75 photos per hour.

  • Of course! I love to travel and am experienced in navigating the unique challenges and opportunities of destination weddings. I'll work closely with you to ensure we capture every magical moment, no matter where your wedding takes place.
